Healing Art

Healing ArtHealing Art pictures and info about creative arts and healing through and with arts.

Creativity is a big word that in my opinion is not used often enough. I here a lot of people say: "I'm not creative" and thereby not acknowledging the creator inside.
What does creativity mean? Do you have to be an artist to be creative? No, not at all. Creativity just means to find solutions for yourself and to create something beautiful or useful that will enrich your own and/or others life.
This can be anything from telling a story to a child to writing a letter or drawing a picture.

We are all creative geniuses in our own right. Go, say it: "I'm creative", because if you are not you wouldn't get anything done in your life. You cook, isn't that creative? You tell other people about your ideas, isn't that creative? You build a house, isn't that creative?
You might think that these are all very ordinary things, but let me assure you that this spark of creativity in you can lead to extraordinary adventures and can touch many lives if you put your love into it.

What Does Love Have To Do With It?

Feather healing artLove is the one thing that distinguishes a real creative artist from the ordinary creator. If you do anything with love, it becomes a creation extraordinaire.

It is hard to explain, but you probably experienced it yourself.

For example, you go in a restaurant one day and the food just tastes like heaven, you go in the next day and the food is just food. One day the Chef put all his attention and love into his job and the other day he didn't.

Or in a retail outlet, one sales person who loves his job and one who doesn't. Who do you think will stand out? Which one will make your day?

If you allow yourself to feel Love, to give it and to receive it, your imagination will widen and open your consciousness to a higher view of things.

While looking for some words to express Creativity I also found the following explanations in the "A Cosmic Sea of Words : The Eckankar Lexicon".

Creative action = That doingness which comes out of AWARENESS of being the image and likeness of God.

Creative activity = Doing something of a spiritual nature, besides existence in the materialistic worlds, in order to develop spiritual sensitivity.

Creative cycle = That which starts, changes and stops with with each rest point. Requires the combination of the negative and positive streams, and their complete stillness to achieve the lack of motion which gives the complete static of pure life.

Meet the Artist

Norma Wirtz, Germany

“I like to take the seriousness away from art without compromising the true mastery of art.”

Since early childhood I was drawn to paint . For a long time I was painting mainly with pencil. Only in my late 30’s did I discover my love for oil colours. From this point onward I’ve dedicated my life to painting.

I admire all artist who paint objectively, many of the old classic masters, the impressionists and many current artists and illustrators as well.

Most of my motivation to paint I find in the beauty of nature. A sunset, some grass, a butterfly, a bird, a horse a snail; sometimes moving to the realm of fantasy like angels, and dream landscapes. I like to capture the wonderful essence of this planet, to avert the volatility of beauty.

Inspiration for the „Healing Art“ was born during summer 2003 in a church. The text fragment of a song “God's house made from greenery” inspired a picture in my fantasy that I can only describe as a “healing picture”, green, protecting, blue, cooling, golden and relaxing.
